Some Major Cities in Germany:
Berlin - the capital of Germany, located in northeastern Germany.
Bonn - a city in western Germany on the Rhine River; Bonn is south of Düsseldorf and Cologne.
Cologne - a city in western Germany on the Rhine River; Cologne is south of Düsseldorf and north of Bonn.
Dresden - a city in eastern Germany near the border with the Czech Republic; Dresden is east-southeast of Leipzig.
Düsseldorf - a city in western Germany on the Rhine River.
Frankfurt am Main - a city in Germany on the Rhine River; it is southwest of Bonn.
Hamburg - a city in northern Germany.
Leipzig - a city in eastern Germany; it is southwest of Berlin and west-northwest of Dresden.
Munich - a city in southern Germany; it is south of the Danube River.
Stuttgart - a city in southern Germany; it is northwest of Munich and south-southwest of Frankfurt am Mein.

Bodies of Water:
Baltic Sea - a large body of water northeast of Germany.
Danube River - a river that starts in southwestern Germany and flows out of Germany through the German/Austrian border.
Elbe River - a river that flows into Germany from the Czech Republic; it runs through Dresden and Hamburg, eventually going into the North Sea.
Rhine River - a river that flows through western Germany; it enters Germany at the French border and leaves at the border with the Netherlands.
North Sea - a large body of water northwest of Germany.

Austria - the country that borders Germany to the southeast; Austria is south of the Czech Republic.
Belgium - the country that borders Germany to the west; Belgium is south of the Netherlands and north of France.
Czech Republic - a country that borders south-central Germany to the east; it is south of Poland and north of Austria.
Denmark - the country that borders Germany to the north.
France - the country that borders Germany to the southwest; Belgium and Luxembourg north of France, and Switzerland is southeast of France.
Liechtenstein - the tiny country that is east of Switzerland and west of Austria; Liechtenstein is south of Germany.
Luxembourg - the small country that borders Germany to the west; Luxembourg is southeast of Belgium and northwest of France.
Netherlands - the country that borders Germany to the northwest.
