I am partial to the triceritops, however I do reatin at least five sentances structured full of info on T-Rex. First the name t-rex is latin for "Tyrant Lizard King", He existed during the later part of the Mezazoic to the early Triasic. They were on average 12 meters Long, 12 meteric tons, and 20 ft in height(est). Fossil of T-rex was discovered by Bonum Brown (1873-1963) who in his time was a great dinosaur fossil hunter. In 1905 Henry Osborn (U.S. paleontologist)named the fossil T-rex. The most complete fossil(70%) of t-rex was Named "Tinker", it was a juevenile and about two-thirds the size of an average adult T-rex. They were solitary hunters and it is believed (although debated)that they were scavengers as well. this is somewhat supported by their large olfactory lobes that were capable of smelling out rotting meat from great distances. Compared to other dino's the t-rex had a different bone structure due to their massive weight and muscle structure. They had thicker bones, greater girth, which allows more muscle to wrap around the bones. This allowed greater manueverability and strenght which was excellent for counter attacks. There is a controversy that they t-rex was capable of running at about 40 milesper hour, however this would be extremely hazardous to the T-rex since at that speed he heghtens his risk of falling and doing permanent life threatening injuries to itself. The t-rex teeth are curved backwards and the top jaw's teeth were longer than the lower jaw, the teeth were used and constructed to perform like a knife and fork. this allowed the t-rex to take off larger chunks of meat. The front lobe of the skull of a t-rex had a divet wich allowed the dino to have a kind of stereo vision, the eyes also allowed it to focus and distinguish prey. Another and final fact is that if there were no risk of getting your head bit off the average human male could win an arm wrestling competition with the t-rex. This would be due, not to the accolades of human strength, but to the small forarms that had less muscle and manueverability. I do hope this satisfies the rantings of Jimmy from georgia about the need to force others into formulating a thourough and time depleating explanation on why they like t-rex. Maybe there is no more to say than the like the t-rex because it was cool.

T.Rex, cos he's my favourite dinosaur!
from Benny.L, age 7, ?, ?, NY; October 10, 2000

Naa, I don't think so, TYRANNOSAURUS REX had way of dealing with TRICERATOPS as the evidence shows. many Triceratops bones have shown fatal bite marks all over them. Ankylosaurus had the best defence, it was probally the only dinosaur that could really hurt Tryannosaurus Rex (Sue had both her legs broken and healed by anyklosaur blows). Triceratops was, how you say, cannon foddler? Vote Tyrannosaurus.
from Battar, age ?, ?, ?, ?; October 10, 2000

Q: Who usually won in battle, triceratops or T. rex? A: I imagine T. rex could have beaten triceratops any time, since triceratops horns weren't really positioned or designed to do much damage, frightening as they looked. Plus, T. rex was stronger and faster. But it probably wasn't worth T. rex's energy to chase healthy triceratops when there were so many dead and dying in the herds that lived in its time.
from Horner, age 13, ?, ?, ?; October 10, 2000

Triceratops. I like this dinosaur because it survives best and because it had one of the best defenses. And because it was one of the dinosaurs that could kill the TYRANOSAURUS REX.

from Rafaelina p., age 15, new york, N.Y., Manhattan; October 10, 2000

T-Rex, he eats meat and not vegatables, that's why he's smarter than the plant eaters, they ate too much vegatables and became vegatables, like Stegosaurus.
from Carl.J, age 4, Alabama, ?, USA; October 10, 2000

Tyrannosaurus Rex, because he was the leanest, meanest, slickest, coolest, deadiliest, most powerful, smartest and had the keenest nose, eyes and ears of any predatory dinosaur, THAT INCLUDES THE RAPTORS!
from Judie F., age 9, ?, ?, ?; October 10, 2000

from Ka Su F., age 12, Beijing, Mainland, China; October 10, 2000

My fav dinosour is the coelophysis. a very complex and vicious dinosaur that was wiped out by a simple flash flood! what doesnt add up is the fact that it has supposed relatives that evolved 25 years after their mass death! how does that work? i find learning about it facinating!
from Charlotte.M, age 15, Sydney, Nsw, Australia; October 10, 2000

Tyrannosaurus Rex, he is the most powerful dinosaur that ever lived.
from Jermal.G, age 9, Perth, ?, Australia; October 9, 2000

Tyrannosaurus Rex, because according to the Chaos Theory, a variable unit of genetic fitness may reach the edge slower than the non varibale units. Untis with extreme non-variance may reach the edge with to most potential chaotic energy and fall easily to extinction. They are unavoiably unstable strange attractors. Tyrannosaurus had a variable genetic fitness and was thus a stable system, that's why he is the best dinosaur around.
from Ian M., age 49, ?, ?, ?; October 9, 2000

T.Rex, I like him. Nothing personal, but I think all the other dinosaurs ####!!!

The facts are in, Tyrannosaurus is the deadilest animal that ever lived on dry land. A new track of prints show Tyrannosaurus throwing a flying kick a a bunch of hardosaurs. A badly mauled hardosaur bone fragments were found all over the place. Vote T.Rex man!
from Enward. SH, age 14, ?, ?, NY; October 9, 2000

from Liton Jr .K, age 6, NY, ?, America; October 9, 2000

I agree, nothing personal or I CUT YOU OFF ah! But I think overall everybody is rather happy with this foroum. Lets squabble over the dinos, but lets not get too personal when we do it, its like they care....
from Glenn Ong Su K., age 23, ?, ?, ?; October 9, 2000

I remember quite well the actions of that certain individual a while back trying to impose a rule about tyrannosaurus votes, and that's actually the type of situation I want to prevent. For those of you who weren't here, every time someone voted for T-rex he'd jump in and start insulting them over it and generally just giving them a hard time. It led to one rule about mentioning names in posts which was never enforced, because he would personnally go after people who voted T-rex. It's not even so much making fun of dinosaurs themselves that I see as a problem here, it's more the making fun of people for voting for certain dinosaurs that I think is wrong- I've been to too many debates where the emphasis is more on how badly others can be personnally insulted than how the actual issue can be argued. I hope I have cleared up any confusion as to my intentions, and rather than fight I would like to be friends with the people here and hopefully contribute! to the DinoTalk section. Pax?
from ?, age ?, ?, ?, ?; October 9, 2000

T.Rex, because he is the bestest and most popular dino in the world! Yayyy!
from Waderiene D., age 16, DC, J.A.G, America; October 9, 2000

T-Rex, cos he can take down any other species of dinosaur. I think this is possible after reading the huge article in the Dino Talk forum about T.Rexes hunting in packs. A lot of people have been saying a pack of raptors attacking a Rex would take it down, but I guess this doent apply anymore as Rex hunted in packs too, owwww too bad raptor maniacs! HA HA HA MUAH HA HA HA HA!
from Kingston.L, age 15, Beuford, Europe, England; October 9, 2000

T.Rex, becos he can eat all the people who don't like him. He also had a very big brain, his brain was 2.5 times bigger than Velociraptor! So he was smarter. Velociraptor was probally quite primitive, half blind, and kept breaking its legs whenever it ran, so I say Velociraptor can move above 4 kilometers per hour. The Tyrannosaurus probally finished off this truly pathetic species of dinosaur and drove them to extinction.

from Insaniac, age 18, ?, ?, ?; October 8, 2000

Please stop arguing. I am a kid, but I do not cry when I see people make mean remarks about T.Rex, my teacher told me not to mind, as these people also want to say wahat they want. My mother said that kids nowadays are not so sensitive. That's for boys, my mother said girls are weaker.
from Jamal.H, age 7, Oklahoma City, OK, USA; October 8, 2000

Not listening to you. I advocate free speech. I will express my feelings and you have the right to do so too. I think the less rules there are, the better. One guy called Jimmy tried to impose such rules too. This cannot be allowed to happed.

T-Rex cos he's big
from Sherrl, age 9, ?, ?, ?; October 8, 2000

Ey people, you can insult other Dinosaurs, but you BETTER not asttack other people. Pathetic, fighting over dead animals. Grow up! I believe kids are tougher than that. If you don't like here, you don't have to come here, got it? I CUT YOU OFF!
from Glenn Ong Su Ka, age ?, ?, ?, ?; October 8, 2000

Just another thing... First, how do you know I am American? Second, I more than know what it feels like to be teased and abused, and while I don't mind good natured teasing, I think people should bear in mind this site's purpose and the audience viewing it. Personnally, I think people posting such mindless messages are only reflecting poorly on themselves, but I know if I were a kid coming here I'd probably be in tears over some of the things said (I'm pretty sensitive.) I'm not here to "sanitize" this board, I just think there are better places to argue things so trivial. Thibk about it: while a lot of you guys probably don't mind it, do you really want to be telling little kids their dinosaurs are stupid?
from ?, age ?, ?, ?, ?; October 8, 2000

But there's a clear difference between voicing an opinion and just bashing something for the sake of bashing it, and I think several people here have crossed that line. It's one thing to say "I think T.rex is better than a Gallimimus because it was bigger, had teeth, etc." but it is quite a different thing to say "I think T.rex was better because all the other dinosaurs are stupid and so is everyone who likes them" or something like that. This is also more than just an attack on a dinosaur, it's an insult, however indirect, on other people here. As this is also a children's board, and not meant as a debate forum, little kids might take it personnally if you say anyone who likes a Velociraptor is stupid or something. Don't get me wrong, the "DinoDeathmatch" things are entertaining, and my gripe isn't really with them, it's more messages that are there simply to attack a dinosaur and the people who like it. If you want to do something like that, go to! the DinoTalk section to debate or start you're own message board. Please keep in mind that this is intended for people to vote for their favorite dinosaur, not argue over it.

I AM A RAPTOR FAN, BUT I DO NOT MIND IT WHEN THE REX FANS INSULT MY FAVE DINO. IN FACT, I FIND THE CONFLICT IN THIS PAGE THOUGHT PROVOKING. REX FANS, RAPTORS FANS? DO YOU AGREE?
from MNL, age 12, ?, ?, ?; October 8, 2000

T.Rex, because he wears a cool T.Shirt! Yay!
from Jimmy. L, age 5, ?, Arizona, US; October 8, 2000

Naa, that idea is prone to abuse. A V.Raptor fan could bash his dino on purpose to get a "pity" vote. Most people do not mind having their dino bashed, in fact, whenever Rex is bashed, I find it most amusing to answer all the slams, innaccurate or not. Don't restrict a free flow of ideas in this room. A closed mind cries foul when his dinosaur is bashed, but an open mind faces it.
from Billy, age 18, ?, ?, ?; October 8, 2000

Naa, not too fair, besides, you America is a free country, you should let people have a right for free speech. Let them contuine bashing, and let the fans defend. I mean, if we were to restrict bashing other dinosaurs, if would be extremely deterimental to people voting here as I suspect a lot of people actually come here to have a "good" talk with their dinosaur rival fans. Don't do that, what do you say? Woe to the person who does not like to be teased. And that's coming from a Singaporean, who dosen't take free speech for granted. Moderate, but don't sanitise this forum. I vote Rex.
from Honkie Tong, age 16, Singapore, ?, ?; October 8, 2000
We won't.

I've already voted a while ago for my favorite dinosaur, but I have an idea to help deter people from bashing other people's favorites. Everytime somebody makes fun of another dinosaur, add a vote (or maybe two) to the dinosaur insulted. That way, whenever someone makes fun of T.rex, or Gallimimus, or Ankylosaurus, or whatever, they are actually helping that dinosaur! I'm just sick and tired of people fighting over stupid things like raptors, and the popularity of Tyrannosaurus, and using innaccurate information from a Jurassic Park site to bash Gallimimuses...
from ?, age ?, ?, ?, ?; October 8, 2000
Hmm..., that's an interesting idea.

Speak for yourselves, we now believe that the Velociraptor was actually a primitive raptor when compaired to it' north american counterparts. Velociraptor probally lived and hunted alone, unlike its bigger relatives. It's brian size was drastically smaller and it had a very high brian to weight ratio for a raptor, meaning for a raptor, it was dumb. T.Rex on the other hand, was advanced for a tyrannosaur and was a extremely complex animal that probally pair bonded and hunted in groups. No, your arguments cannot stand. Velociraptor is not better than T.rex. hehe

To NOREX and Raptor fans, You are badly decluded, Tyrannosaurus is clearly superior to your favored species of dinosauria. In fact, I believe Tyrannosaurs forced the Dromaeosaurids into decline during their rule. The fossil record proves this. Just as the Tyrannosaurs were coming out in strength, the Raptors declined. This vote is for Tyrannosaurus Rex and all of the Tyrannosaur family.

The raptors scan the clearing from the cover of their hiding place within the monkey puzzle forest. The raptors is a beautiful predator, with switchblades claws designed to tear the life out of their victim. Long, dexterous hands allow them to work their prey into a killing bite. Strong swift legs allow them to sprint up to 40 miles per hour. Some species of raptors hunt in packs while some stake it out alone, but for the prey here, the raptors are of considerable size (3-4meters), and they hunt in packs.

The prey in question here is a male Anatotitan, 12 meters long an weighing 6 tons. The Anatotitan can crush the life out of a unwary lone raptor, but in a pack, the hardosaur's best defence is in a herd. Unluckly for this Anatotitan, it had somehow gotten seperated from its herd eariler in a Tyrannosaur attack. Usually the male, being in good health and of considerable size, would deter predators looking for a easy target, but the raptors are unusual as they readily attack even the strongest prey.

Rushing out of the undergrowth, the alpha raptor approaches the herbivore. The Anatotitan brays in alarm and rears up to deter the alpha raptor. The alpha raptor stops and hisses at the Anatotitan. The Anatotitan has little to fear from the alpha raptor as his immenese bulk deters an attack.

That is, until the rest of the pack burst out into the clearing behind the Anatotitan. Raptors do not plan their attack, but an entire pack may stalk the prey and surround it until the alpha raptor attacks. This triggers a free for all in which the raptors attack their prey en masse. The Anatotitan is heavily outnumbered and brays in fear and pain as they leap onto his thick hide and start kicking into him. He bucks and rears in a vain attempt to dislodge the predators but the fight is as over as soon as it begins. The Anatotitan collaspes in a spray of arterial blood and the raptors are quick to end his fight for survival in their favour.

An Anatotitan is a big kill, and a big kill may feed them for days. However, they must also defend their kill sucessfully during that period. Without wasting time, they start to eat the colossal body of their prey.

Bursting out of the undergrowth in thundering steps, a male Tyrannosaurus Rex roars and stamps his feet ten meters away from the kill. Usually a Tyrannosaurus moves around quietly while stalking a kill, but his intention this time is to intimidate. His does a good job at it, roaring and pretending to charge. His mission is obvious, he wants their kill.

Usually, a raptor pack would have withdrawn in such a situtation, but this raptor pack is a big pack, and the alpha raptor senses that his pack is big enough to have a chance of beating the Tyrannosaurus in a fight. However, attacking a Tyrannosaur is dangerous, even a pack will certainly take heavy losses if they decide to take on the Tyrannosaur. For a moment, the entire pack joins the alpha raptor in hissing and snarling at the Tyrannosaur in a tense stalemate.

Suddenly, a female Tyrannosaur charges out of the monkey puzzle forest in a ear-splitting roar. She is bigger than the male Tyrannosaur and thus more intimidating. This is no coincidence, Tyrannosaurus breed by pair-bonding, and this is certainly the first Tyrannosaurus' mate.

The alpha raptor is distracted by the noisy female and fails to notice he is now standing less than three meters from the first Tyrannosaur. The Tyrannosaur senses this and siezes the raptor in a sudden blur of movement. The raptor squeals in surprise and pain. It kicks out vainly at the giant predator and one bite ends the life of the doomed animal.

Seeing the death of their leader, the resolve of the raptor pack breaks and they bolt. The female Tyrannosaur sees to this , chasing them into the forest before turning back. She waits a while before confirming that the raptors really are gone before giving a series of short, sharp burplike barks.

The undergrowth starts to move as three 4 meter long animals move out. They are young Tyrannosaurus, offspring of the pair. Aready they have the bone cruching teeth of their parents but are yet too small and inexperienced to bring down live prey, they learn by watching their parents. For now, they start to tear at the flesh of the dead Anatotitan with their mother. The male has his own with the mangled raptor. Quickly, they feed.

The tyrannosaurs are a sucess story. Over the years, their numbers have been steadily increasing while other predators, like the raptors are declining. It is aready clear that they have now replaced all other raptor and carnosaur ecological niches. Even eons after the dinosaurs went extinct, their sucess contuines as more and people send votes for them. I am not different. THis vote goes out to T.Rex.

The world has never known a more terrible tyrant than this fearsome dinosaur By MARC JENNINGS Special to The Courier-Journal The king is dead. Long live the king. The king is Tyrannosaurus rex - from the Latin for ''tyrant lizard king'' - a ferocious dinosaur who disappeared some 65 million years ago. But T. rex lives on - in movies such as this summer's ''The Lost World,'' in scientific debates and in the imaginations of all who love and are fascinated by these ancient beasts. ''It was sort of the biggest, the baddest thing in that period of evolution,'' said Jim Krupa, an assistant professor of biology at the University of Kentucky. ONE MEAN MEAT-EATER Tyrannosaurus rex averaged 39 feet long, 20 feet tall and weighed about eight tons. Its head alone was more than four feet long and its dagger-like teeth were six inches. Biomechanics studies of T. rex's skull have shown it to be without equal in crushing power. Surely, a more ferocious killer has never prowled the planet. ''They had the teeth,'' Krupa said. ''They had the muscles.'' Tyrannosaurus rex probably stalked its prey the way a cat does, said Mike McKinney, a professor of geology at the University of Tennessee. It swallowed its food whole - possibly as much as a ton of meat in a day. Luckily for its neighbors, T. rex didn't eat every day. Krupa called T. rex a ''sit-and-wait predator'' that hid at the edge of the woods and sprinted out to attack its victim. Tyrannosaurus rex probably didn't run much, but could explode out upon its prey. But some T. rex meals may have been a bit less glamorous. The hunter-killer may also have carried off carrion. ''There's been some talk among paleontologists in the past few years that maybe T. rex wasn't entirely a predator. Maybe he was a scavenger,'' said Kevin Padian, professor and curator of the department of integrative biology and museum of paleontology at the University of California, Berkeley.

KING OF THE CARNIVORE HILL ''This being the biggest carnivore around, if anything smaller had something to eat, it would just chase them away,'' Padian said. Krupa agreed that if a Tyrannosaurus rex found something dead, it wouldn't pass up the meal. But, he said, T. rex had very powerful jaw muscles and, not typical among scavengers, a strong, flexible neck. Additionally, its senses of sight and smell were well developed - traits typical of predators. Padian said the ''T. rex-as-scavenger'' talk started with paleontologist John Horner.

''We're all guessing, but I think those who cast T. rex as a predator are letting some common prejudices cloud their thinking,'' Horner and Don Lessem say in their 1993 book ''The Complete T. Rex.'' ''It shouldn't have mattered to T. rex whether lunch was meat caught on the hoof or ripped off a carcass. Either way, T. rex had to go get its food.''

A TALE OF TEETH AND TALONS
And either way, Tyrannosaurus had the tools to do it. This is an easy animal to see as a predator. McKinney said that T. rex had three ways to kill its prey. It could use its long tail. ''Much like a crocodile, it probably knocked the legs from under its prey,'' he said. Its hind feet had three long talons. McKinney said these were used to rip open and eviscerate victims. And then, of course, there were those teeth.

''It had teeth that were about six inches long,'' McKinney said. ''Very efficient.'' Krupa said the edges on both sides were serrated - teeth made to shear flesh.

So Tyrannosaurus rex would clash with other giants of its time and do mighty battle, right? Well, not necessarily.

''That's kind of comic book stuff,'' Padian said. ''A lot of the way we picture meat-eaters is kind of cartoonish.'' People often think of T. rex as charging ''the big bull of the herd.'' In reality, though, this tyrant was more likely to stalk a herd of animals and attack the old, the young, the sick, lame and weak. ''This is true of all predators,'' Padian said. ''A predator is not going to risk his well-being any more than he has to.''

ARMED TO THE TEETH? You probably wouldn't have said this to his face, but T. rex had puny little arms. Each had two fingers, and no one really knows how he used them.

''T. rex's arm bones are only three feet long on an animal forty feet long,'' Horner and Lessem say in their book. ''But T. rex's arm bones are about three times as thick as mine.''

Padian said T. rex's arms were too short to reach its mouth but were strong enough to bench press a couple of hundred pounds. The conventional explanation is that they were shrinking because of disuse; that nature was selecting its teeth and strong back leg joints instead.

McKinney also said T. rex's arms might be weak evolutionary leftovers - but that there is a new theory that they were used during mating. The arms, he said, were not used in killing prey.

Well, it looks like this is another one of the 2000 votes for T.Rex, Tyrant King of the terrible lizards. Who would have thought it, 2000 votes in less than than 3 years since this webpage was set up. That put T.Rex on at around 3 votes a day, though we know that number was more. Theorys have risen to explain the popularity of Tyrannosaurus Rex, from his name to his size and just about anything. Well, times have changed, Tyrannosaurus Rex is no longer the biggest dinosaur to walk the earth (Tyrannosaurus Imperator was). Now he is though to be a pack hunter instead of a loner. In fact, Tyrannosaurus has both lost and gained new world records. He is no longer the biggest, but he now has the best sense of smell. Now said to be a caring parent from the discovery of Tinker the kidrex and a dangerous but social animal. In all this though, unwavering support for Tyrannosaurus Rex still holds out, despite fierce attacks from other groups like the Gigantosaurus, Triceratops, Pachycephalosaurus and surprisingly, even Gallimimus fans. The most dangerous of the lot though, are the Raptor fans. This group rarely sees eye to eye with the Tyrannosaurus group. Many resent T.Rex's popularity and wish to see him removed and the Dromaeosaurs put in his place(Anybody remember Jimmy the anti-Rexer?) In fact, when this forum was set up, T.Rex came under massive attack, as the saying goes, "everybody wants to knock T.Rex off his throne." This proves to be true, with T.Rex attracting much flack, particalary from the Raptor fans. It seems that there are only three groups left in this forum. The anti-rexer, the pro-rexers and the rapidly shrinking neutral. At one time, this forum saw a shift from voting for dinosaurs to Rex bashing. This has even carried on the the Paleoontologists, who also seem to be divided into three camps. Well, at least the battle here is almost over. T.Rex bashing has dropped considerably after detractors failed to find a way past the defences of the T.Rex fans. In fact, as of this year, the Tyrannosaur fans, launched a massive counterattack on the enemy, with Gigantosaurus and the Raptors being the main targets. A quick view back will reveal all the messages left by this D-Day style landng. The "Why T.Rex is better than Gigantosaurus" messages and the "T.Rex vs raptor statements." It seems, T.Rex fans started getting the message and also joined the war, with the Dino Warz being one of the best of the lot. Well, now an uneasy peace resumes with the "I don't diss you you don't diss me" slogan. But it looks like everybody has agreed that Tyrannosaurus is going to be the most popular dino for a long time to come. This forum is the Ego-trip and T.Rex is the Ego-man. Until any dino beats him in the number of votes, but I think that's unlikely. A parting note to all Raptor fans.......If you don't like T.Rex, don't forget he can kick the butt of your dinosaur one to one! This is a report from Singapore, the land of no chewing gum and Tyrant lizards. It's a small wonder in a poll conducted, 80 percent of dino fans have T.Rex as their favourite. T.Rex is the most popular dinosaur in Singapore, by the widest margin in the world.

It's the mating season for a herd of Triceratops now. Bright colours decorate normaly dull frills as the males display. Usually, Triceratops display involve complex sizing up and head waving routines, all this to prevent a potential fight from breaking out. However, should one side not back down, it would be a dangerous situtation..... This is in the case for a pair of male Triceratops, both equal in size, both locked in horns. One is a old male, winner of countless mating battles like this, and the other is a young male, big for his size but lacking in experience. Normally, this would mean the older male has the upper hand, but 40 years of life has not left the older Triceratops untouched. Though there are almost no outward signs, the old Triceratops is weakening. However, the younger male senses this and gives it his all, pushing and snorting with reckless abandon. For the oler male, this is too much. Giving a bleet of alarm, he backs off to recover from his strained neck. The younger male gives no quarter, he charges the older male and chases him for two hundred meters before breaking off to attend a receptive female. The old male sulks and stops to recover. He moves away from his tormentor, which is now keeping a close eye on him, preventing him from nearing the receptive female. Moving away from his herd, he slowly watches his competors mate. This is the worse possible start to his breeding season. But unknown to him, the Tyrannosaur breeding season has just finished about three months ago, giving rise to a new generation of predators. The parents of the infant Tyrannosaurus need food, to feed both themselves and their young. Charging out of the bush, a male Tyrannosaurus Rex slams into the old male and gouges out a 50 kilogram slab of meat from his leg. Bleeting in alarm and fear, the surprised Triceratops attemps to face his tormentor. He turns around to face the Tyrannosaurus, and attempts to charge. But his mauled leg betrays him, and the best he can do is a slow trot, which the Tyrannosaurus deftly backsteps to avoid. But more trouble is to arrive, three more Tyrannosauruses step into view, all from different directions, bidding their time. Normally, the best defense against a pack hunter like the Tyrannosaurus for a Triceratops would be to band together in a circle, protecting their young in the center and presenting the Tyrannosaur pack a wall of horns. Now the old male is on his own, facing four predators in four different directions. He bleets for help, trying to call his herd, but they are now too far away. The four Tyrannosaurus bid their time and wait. At this point, the Triceratops make a fatal error. He panics and tries to trot back to his herd, presenting the opening the Tyranosaurus want. One Rex rushes in and rips a 30 kilo slab from his flank. The old male tilts his inflexible head in a attempt to gore the attacker, but fails. Another T.Rex rips into his opposite flank, chipping ito the bone as she went. The Triceratops stops and tries to gore its attackers, but as he targets one, the others will start tearing into him. Bite by massive bite, they literaly bite the resistance out of the Triceratops. Finally, one of the Rexes manages to break the back of the dying Triceratops with a bone shattering bite. Splasming, the Triceratops hits the ground hard in a resounding splash, a testimony to how much he bled. Quickly, the Tyrannosaur pack works to dismember the animal. Very little will be left. Ps, here's one vote for T.Rex

Tyrannosaurus Rex, because he was mean and big.
from Ronnie.t, age 5, Puket, ?, Thailand; October 3, 2000

Q: Who usually won in battle, triceratops or T. rex? A: I imagine T. rex could have beaten triceratops any time, since triceratops horns weren't really positioned or designed to do much damage, frightening as they looked. Plus, T. rex was stronger and faster. But it probably wasn't worth T. rex's energy to chase healthy triceratops when there were so many dead and dying in the herds that lived in its time.
from ?, age ?, ?, ?, ?; October 2, 2000

Zoom Dinosaurs, I want you to stop this Tyrannosaurus madness! Triceratops could easily kill any T-Rex. I am sick and fed up of people voting for T-Rex! Why do so many people like T-Rex? Is he that good? Why is he so popular? T-Rex was useless! Those bite marks on the hip bones of Triceratops were a hoax made by some crazy T-Rex fans! Zoom Dinosaurs! You should be ashamed of saying T-Rex ever bit a Triceratops, alive or dead. Argghhh!
from Timon, age 12, antitrex, notrex, notrex; October 2, 2000

Song for a Tyrannosaur

Life is just unpredictible and I guess that just is fine.
I hope Rex had the time of its life
Being the king of dinosaurs and I guess that just is fine.
I hope Rex had a ball of a time
Though now a skeleton but your looks are just fine.
I hope someday they bring you back to life
Playing with you in my mind, But I that just is fine.
Those were the best days of our lives
Now you live in our minds, but I guess that just is fine.
I hope you had the time of your life

Na na na na na na na na na na na na
I hope you had the time of your life,
I hope you had the time of your life,
I hope you had the time of your life.

from J.D., age 13, Podunk, ?, ?; October 2, 2000

In terms of pound-for-pound fierceness Velociraptor may have been marginally more fierce. In the unlikely event of a fight, a single Velociraptor would have made no impression upon a T. rex simply because adult Velociraptor grew to a length of about 1.8 metres and stood no more that 1 metre tall, while T. rex reached lengths of 13 metres and stood 4 metres tall. It is just conceivable that a very large pack of Velociraptor might have harried a very sick tyrannosaur, but a straight fight between the two would just have been no contest. That's why T-Rex is my favourite.
from Honkie Tong, age 16, Singapore, Singapore, Singapore; October 2, 2000

Don't worry folks, Sue is alright. She is currently recovering in the Liberty Meadows Animal Hospital. Her condition is stable after major surgery to treat 8 broken ribs, a ruptured maxima muscle in her tail, 4 slipped verterbrea, a dislocated ankle, a greenstick fracture in her skull and numerous bites and slashes. If you want to send her a ger well, you can always end it through a vote, got it? Here's one.
from Billy M., age 18, ?, ?, ?; October 2, 2000

T.Rex, cos she won the dino warz. Is Sue alright?
from Kresteral, age 11, ?, ?, ?; October 2, 2000

Ha ha ha T-Rex votes are getting stranger, but here's one from me.
from Zubermien, age 20, Berlin, ?, Germany; October 2, 2000

Dino Warz 4 Well, here you have it, Tyrannosaurus Rex has finally crossed the big 2-O-O-Os. However, Sue finds her right to be voted challanged by angry detractors. To avoid a deadily rampage by Sue, I had to organise another "contest" to settle the matter!

Sue's locker room
Bill: Errr...Hi-H- Hi Sue
Sue: Roarrr! WHAT!
Bill: I know the tu-turn of events-s have an-angered you, wh-what hap-happened.
Sue: COME CLOSER, I CAN HARDLY HEAR YOU, IT'S NOT LIKE I AM GOING EAT YOU!
Bill: No th-thank you, I-I will stay right here.
Sue: Ok, some Raptor fans have complained that I have had too much votes, and want my name struck off the Zoom Dinosaurs voting list!
Bill: So, what are you gonna do?
Sue: Settle this the old dino way of course, a grudgematch!
Bill: But, I though your team finished off all the raptors last time round, they're extinct!
Sue: Yes, but the Raptor fans have teamed up with Gigantosaurus fans.
Bill: So?
Sue: They are sending Gigantosaurus to fight me!
Bill: Oh, I see, confident?
Sue: Of course, you just watch out ALL YOU REX-BASHERS!

(later...) Bill: Okay, the rules are this, a team of ten Gigantosaurus are going to fight a team of three T.Rexes, Sue, Suzie and Sue-Imperator. You may be asking why are the teams unbalanced? Well, lets just say even if the odds were 10 to 1, it still wouldn't be fair. Combat will be team-tag style. Ready, Yes? But let's interview our special guests first. (Camera pans to review The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin)

Bill: Hey Rock, who do you think will win?
The Rock: T.Rex, cos IT DOSEN'T MATTER what the Gigantosaurus do!
Stone Cold: Naa, I say the Gigantosaurus will win. They are bigger.
The Rock: Do you really think so?
Stone Cold: Yes, becau-
The Rock: IT DOSEN'T MATTER JARBONI!
Stone Cold: No, it's so, because Stone Cold, said so.
The Rock: We'll see Jarboni.
Bill: Okay, thank you. LETSSSSS RUMBLEEEE!
Ps:Note that unlike a wrestling match, the animals here really get hurt!

Sue: I'm first.
Giganto1: I'll get you!
Refree: Star- Ahhh (gets stepped on, dies)
Giganto1: Woops!
Bill: Ohhh, I knew that guy!
Sue: Take that! (Chomp)
Giganto1: Ahh
Sue: And that! (Chomp)
Giganto1: Ahh
Bill: Giganto1 is too slow, he can't strike back!
Suzie: GO SUE!
Giganto1: Hi....ya (C...homp)
Sue: Ha ha , that tickles!
Giganto1: Hi....ya (C...homp)
Sue: Ha ha , that tickles!
Bill: Giganto1 is biting too slow to hurt Sue!
Sue: HARRR-YA (CHOMP!, TEARS INTO GIGANTO1'S BODY AND RIPS OUT HIS ADRENAL GLAND!)
Giganto1: Hahanowyoudie! (CHOMPCHOMPCHOMPCHOMPCHOMP) Bill: With his Adrenal gland ripped out, Giganto1 is going at lightning speed!
Sue: OW! OW! OW! HELP!
Sue-Imperator: Sue, over here!
Sue: NO! I fight you! (Chomp!)
Giganto1: HAHAHA! MISSED! (RUNS CIRCLES AT 80 MILES PER HOUR AROUND SUE!)
Sue: Oh no...ah ha! (Sticks her leg out!)
Gianto1:(runs into her leg) ??? AHHHHH!
Suzie: Yes!
Giganto1: Nooo! (Falls on his face, ripping his head clean off)
Bill,The Rock: YES!
Sue: Yayyy!
Giganto2: My turn!
Sue:(tags Suzie) Suzie, its yours!
Giganto2: Your'e dead Suzie! (CHOMP!)
Suzie: (sidesteps) Take that (Chomp! Bites his Jaw off!)
Giganto2: Brrrrggghhhhh! Heave margh haw hack!
Suzie: You want it, you got it. (Throws his jaw like a boomerang)
Giganto2:wizzzh crack!~ AHHHgghhhh (The jaw slams into his head,
bringing him down!)
Suzie: Yayyyy
Giganto3: Not so fast!
Suzie: That Gigantosaurus yours sister! (Tags team mate)
Giganto3: I'll take you on! T.Rexes are small!
Giganto4: Err, number 3......
Giganto3: HEY, WHERE THAT SMALL VIXEN GO? (Notices a huge shadow looms over him)
Sue-Imperator: Never-insult-my-SISTERS!
Giganto3: AHhhhhhhh!(Crunch, chimp bite ahhhhhh nonono Cruch! Dies....)
Sue-Imperator: ROARRRRR!
Giganto4: You go 5, she's too big!
Giganto5: You go 4, I'm behind you!
Sue-Imperator: Cut the CR*# (CHOMP BITE CRUNCH GWRWN!)
Giganto4,5: AHHHHHHH (DIES)
Giganto6 to 10: Unite! all climb onto ring
Sue-Imperator: Sisters unite!
Sue: Get them!
Suzie: Yaaaaaaa! (CRUNCH BITE CRACK BOOMW! SPLAT SCRIGGH! AHHHHH NO HELP! CRCK BOFSD!
BOOF BLAM! SPLAT CRUNCH CHOMP BITE SNAP BOORMFGH!)
Gigantosauraus: AHHHHHHHH (DIES...)
T.Rexes: Yayyy! We are the winners!
Bill: Not so fast, Spinosaurus has also filed a protest against Sue.
T.Rexes: What?
Bill: Sorry girl, but you will still have to fight Spineosaurus to
prevent your name from been struck off!
Sue: This is ridiculus!
Suzie: Relax, Spinosaurus is small, you'll walk right over him!
Bill; Ok, but lets pause for a commercial break>

(I know you do not want to watch the ads, so here is a killboard
instead:

Bill: And back to the fight.
Sue: This is not fair.
Bill: Sure it is!
Sue: But I can't beat that cheater!
Bill: What cheater?
Sue: That Spinosaurus!
Bill: What, how did he...
Sue: Look at him, 60 feet long and 10 tons! He is taking steriods!
Bill: Well........
Sue: You have to disquallify him!
Spinosaurus:ROARRR!
Bill: er....bye!
Sue: Bill! Bill!..sigh...ROARRR!
Spinosaurus:ROARR(WACKS HER, THROWING HER ACROSS THE RING)
Sue: AHHHH-oFF! oW!(gETS UP)

Suzie: Noooo! (Tries to climb onto ring)
Sue-Imperator: No! We will be disqualified, unless she tags us first!
Suzie: What do we do, she cant beat that steriod pumped monster!
Spinosaurus: HA HA HA HA ! (Does an incredible 50 meter leap onto Sue!)
Sue: ohh..ahhhh(Gets up and butts him hard in the stomach just before he lands, he rebounds, landing hard on his side)
Spinosaurus: Ahgh! You'll pay for this.
Bill: Sue may have him off for a while, but it dosent look like she'll win!)
Sue: Sue-Imperator, I don't have much time! Blow those propane gas tanks sitting near the heaters!
Sue-Impearator: For what!
Sue: Just do it-ahh (is butted hard, goes down!)
Sue-Imperator:Okay!(Picks up a chair and flings it at the tanks with her jaws.)

(BOOOOM! THE TANKS EXPLODE, CREATING A GIGANTIC FIREBALL.)

Spinosaurs: Ha, nice try, but that won't distract me. (Approaches the fallen Sue)
Sue: That's not for distracting you!
Spinosaurus: (Stomps toward Sue) Than what?
Sue: Common....
Spinosaurus: Ah I feel so faint....what's happening!(starts to stagger)
Sue: Your nice little sail also means you overheat faster! Ha(Gets painfully up)
Spinasaurus: No! oh.....
Suzie: Yes!
Sue: Yaaaaaa! (Charges and rams Spinosaurus very hard. Both dinosaurs go down, Sue gets up)
Spinosaurus: No.....
Sue: Take that and that, and that!! (Rains blow after blow on
Spinosaurus, bites him numerous times!)
Spinosaurus: Argh, Argh! AHHGHH You pay! (Leaps up and butts Sue hard, she goes down and slides for a distance, she is knocked out again.)
Suzie: Nooo.
Spinosaurus: I...will..be..king (Stomps up to Sue, prepairs to give fatal bite)
Sue-Imperator:No....
Spinosaurus:Ha..ha
Sue: Not on my watch! (Her eyes flash open, gives a vicous kick to
Spinosaurus' mid leg, bending it into a right angle)
Spinosaurus: AHHHH! No! (Tries to limp away on his good leg.)
Sue: AHHHHH! (Lahes out and breaks his other leg, bending it into another right angle!)
Bill: Brittle bones! Sure sign of steriod abuse!
Sue: I told you!
Spinosaurus: NOOOOO! ( Staggers backwards, but with both of his legs bent forward, he topples backwards and lies on his back trashing) NOOOOO!
Sue: Yaaaaaaaaaaa! (Takes a sprint ar 35 miles an hour, and then, with superdinosaur effort, leaps like a raptor into the air....)
Suzie: what the......
Sue-Imperator: impossible.....
Bill: Are you catching all this?
Spinosaurus: AHHHHHHHHHHHH! ergh-(BOOM! Sue! lands on his head, smashing it to pulp!)(dies)
Sue-Imperator: Yaayyy
Suzie:YES!
Bill: Yes!
The Rock: Yes!
Stone Cold: Darn!.....
Bill: We declare Sue the winner!
Sue-Imperator: You won Sue, you beat Spinosaurus!
Sue: I did? (Faints)
Bill: Somebody get a vet!
