I really like Allosaurus because
it is VERY deadly
And Tyrannosaurus

Spinogirl-U are the T-loser...or should I say Spinosaurus aegloserus.
from Gloman, age 13, ?, ?, ?; November 10, 2001

T-Rex is so cool that after reading Macbeth...For some reason I can just see him in a Powdered wig, saying something like, "Prithee and now I shalt kick thine arse royally!!"

Spinosaurus! What misfortune has befallenth thou? Thine hast been dismembered, is that not misfortune?

A vote for the coolest dinosaur, Rex.
from I'm not a literature major, age ?, ?, ?, ?; November 10, 2001

Dienonychus- as the real inspiration for the JP raptors (given the size and snout shape), plus it is very well adapted as a predator animal. I'm not as familiar with the biomechanics, but 30-40mph seems like a good guess.
from Aaron W., age 25, Chicago, IL, USA; November 10, 2001

Hey spinogirl...I don't really think Spinosaurus can be considered cool...we usually consider things that are extreme to be cool, and in that case T-rex is certainly extremely cool. Spinosaurus with his large arms and freaky sail is just...weird...
from dinogirl, age ?, ?, ?, ?; November 10, 2001

The best analogy for this fight would be The North-Bound Zax vs. The South-Bound Zax. Except here, one zax is a very powerful jaw capable of exerting over 20,000 newtons of bone crushing force on two long legs bent on destruction and the other is a high backed sailed dino whose front claws are it's best weapons. But you get the idea.

Assuming there's going to be ZERO defense, for the sake of an argument, or else Spino is going to lose for sure. It's all a matter of "Will Rexie be able to stand as many simple flesh lacerations from a bunch of hand claws as the Spino can take point blank bone crushing bites?"

The answer to that question is a resounding yes. Once the fight is over there's only one way the Spino could kill Rexie: If ol' Rexie slipped on the fine paste that was the Spino as he was walking away from his easily won fight...but how likely is that? It's wishful thinking, that's what the Spino fans seem to be good at.

You do the maths...Can you trade a slash for a bone crushing bite?

Rexie is the best...
from The super anatylical probability calculator, age ?, ?, ?, ?; November 10, 2001

T.Rex has this one, because time and again as proven here with detailed scientific studies into the advantages of T.Rex over Spino, T.Rex has kicked Spinosaurus' butt until it took on an entirely different shape. Let's face it, Spinosaurus's as dumb as a log and it shouldn't take long for T.Rex to drop this loser in a casket and bury him alive. And this is a vote for T.Rex.
from Infraggable Krunk, age ?, ?, ?, ?; November 10, 2001

Spinosaurus in tow, the Spino fans orders Spinosaurus forward to attack the opponent. Unfortunately, this opponent is Tyrannosaurus rex, the super ultra death lizard--Spinosaurus just squeals and races around in circles until both Spinosaur and Spino fan are polished off.

Spinosaurus is spineless, Tyrannosaurus is the best!
from Rexem!, age ?, ?, ?, ?; November 10, 2001

Well, I'm touring China right now, and one of the major social concerns here is the concept of face. T.Rex can easily bite off Spinosaurus' face with his powerful jaw. Since Spinosaurus has lost so much face, he must be pretty much incapable of anything.

T.Rex clinches this one in a single facebite, and a vote at that too.
from Albatross, age ?, ?, ?, ?; November 10, 2001

Where on earth did you get the idea that Spino's lame arms and weak jaws would have any hope of beating some bizarre bone crushing, super jawed, ultra fast, sensory advanced, ultra tough and smart Tyrannosaurid? Let me guess: you also think the a galleon could kill an Iowa class battleship, or that Napoleon's Grand Armee (picture an accent mark over the last 'e') could defeat the 3rd armored cavalry and their 70+ ton M1A2 tanks? Perhaps Ceaser's legions could crush Clan Elemental Infantry? I think not. Sorry, Spino boys, the Spinosaurus may be an odd, one-off-dino, but he's gonna wind up like most one-off-dinos, too. A odd dino with a spine and weird arms sitting on the ground may be kinda creepy, but it's really not that effective in the mayhem department. Particularly not when your enemy has not only ripped all your limbs off, but is beating you with the soggy end.

This vote is for the Tyrannosaurid Tyrannosaurus.
from Zog, the Secret Voice of the Monkey Underground, age ?, ?, ?, ?; November 10, 2001

The fight is simple. While the primitive old butt 386-DX in Spineless-Sarus's head is till loading up the I_Am_In_Big_Trouble.exe file, T-man will have bitten off the head of that annoying overplayed spined dino from JP3.

T-Rex is the best.
from Damean, age ?, ?, ?, ?; November 10, 2001

Okay, you've gotta be kidding me. We're talking about a ultra cool spectre of absolute horrific death against a pitiful little spined-freak who couldn't catch his own sushi without growing out stupidly large arms and claws to do it.

Tyrannosaurus rex is the best!
from Rasher, age ?, ?, ?, ?; November 10, 2001

T.rex scares the c(*& out of me, I don't dare vote against him. Spinosaurus, on the other hand, made me laugh when I saw his pitiful overacting in JP3.

Sorry, this vote is for the champion T.rex.
from K-6900 Kridenator, age 12, LA, CA, USA; November 10, 2001

spinogirl,
I made some mistakes in what I said, like T.rex was taller than T.Rex, I meant T.Rex is taller than Spino.

from Gianna, age ?, ?, ?, ?; November 10, 2001

Has the world gone mad? If the T-Rex can survive a barrage of bites, slashes, stabs and blows from the dinosaurian worlds most destructive jaws, clubs and horns, as suggested by fossil evidence, how the hell can a humpbacked spined jockey hope to even put him off with a measly swipe or bite? I think if the Spinosaurus men does eventually find his spine, which he has lost on the moment of seeing T-Rex 10 clicks away, T-Rex will show him wear to stick it (where the sun don't shine) No contest; T-Rex wins
from D belle, age ?, Rasak, Rasak, Rasak; November 10, 2001

Watch as the Spinosaurus swings his claws towards the Tyrannosaurus rex... *CRUNCH* *CRUNCH* *CRUNCH* Claws and all may have worked well enough back in those days catching fish and killing juvinile dinos, but I'm afraid it isn't going to work against advanced technology ultra super crushing jaws of death mobile weapons platform developed after years and years of deriving. Welcome to the late KT, baby...

Tyrannosaurus wins...
from Boba Foot, age ?, ?, ?, ?; November 10, 2001

As much as I hate to rely on a cliche, I think this match can boil down to the lifestyles of the each competitor. Spinosaurus had to spend years in a swamp catching oversized fish, living in constant fear and discomfort of being eaten by gigantic croc, watching his friends die one by one via the same death he feared. On top of that, some of those years were spent with a rather large giant croc tooth embedded in his butt. Tyrannosaurus "Terminator" Rex, on the other hand, was kicking the butts of very dangerous animals like Triceratops. No two ways about it: Tyrannosaurus, hands down.

And this is a vote for him.
from Vermin Boy, age -, -, -, -; November 10, 2001

from Donovan c., age 12, ?, singapore, ?; November 9, 2001

After watching Jurassic Park 3, I originally thought that Spinosaurus would win, having the arms and sail and scary and all that, but right before I voted for him, I thought about something. Spinosaurus needs his spine to be a Spinosaurus. Take that away, and what do you have? A Spineless...Saurus... Spineless...Saurus (tm) aren't scary, they're just stupid. Rather amusing too, if you just repeatedly say it in your head. T-man will realize this and bite off the spine, and then Spineless...Saurus is as good as dead...next stop, Allowhimpy.

T-man is the best!
from Damean, age ?, ?, ?, ?; November 8, 2001

Tyrannosaurus vs. Allosaurus?

The Tyrannosaurus rex must win. The Tyrannsaurus was created following a chain of events resultant from technology the Tyrannosaurids came up with after raising into dominance and making the rest of the Allosaurids extinct in North America. Hence Tyrannosaurus rex's great great great great great great great grandfather must have survived to beat the Allosaurids, or else the Tyrannosaurus rex would not exist to battle the Allosaurus in the first place. Given that, Tyrannosaurus is facing a foe he has already beaten according to the fabric of space time. At least I think..... I hate temporal physics! But there you have it, Tyrannosaurus, according to the immutable laws of physics, must win!

This is a vote for Tyrannosaurus rex.

Ps: Applies for large raptors too.

Suchomimus vs. T-rex

The results will be evident in all of five seconds.

0:01 - Suchomimus swipes his claw straight and true.

0:02 - The swipe hits the snout area of the T-rex.

0:03 - Suchomimus notices the T-rex is still standing, the attack being negated in this instance by a super-stout skull.

0:04 - The Tyrannosaurus bites the arm of Suchomimus.

0:05 - The Tyrannosaurus proceeds to rip off the arm for use in beating the Suchomimus to death.

Any questions?

Actually, I think people DO read DWF, but it was so lously they dropped it by the first read. Hey, I'm just stating a fact here.

My favrat dinosour is Allosoures because i just like it.

"I don't care. it attacked big prey and could jump. It was the first to have a sickle toe claw, and yes, it was as tall as a human. My book says so. Either my book is outdated or you are wrong."

Your book is outdated and probably lacking biomechnical support. Recent studies indicate that Utahraptor was a pretty poor jumper.

I'm afraid I have to prove you wrong on all counts Owain:

"Most people started to like T Rex because of JP1 and Jp the lost world and now your going mental when they give spinsaurus a bit of attention when T Rex got it in the other two."

You don't sound too old, so you're probably missing out on a lot of history. Actually Tyrannosaurus was already the most popular dinosaur in the world way before Jurassic Park. Snagging an amazing 55 percent in a 1967 favourite dinosaur poll.

"And Jp1 and JP the lost world are just as fake. In JP1 it shows T Rex running as fast as 70 kmh."

Actually, you obviously haven't been watching these movies closely. In JP, Hammond said the T.rex clocked 50 kph, which is quite an accurate figure given modern biomechnical paleontology. The person who suggest 70 kph was actually real life. Robert Bakker, who also suggested Brachiosaurs could gallop. But in terms of jurassic park, their reproduction of Tyrannosaurus (save for behaviour), is pretty on the dot.

"In the lost world T Rex was to big it showed T Rexes foot as big as a human."

Actually you are proving JP's unfair treatment of Tyrannosaurus. The Tyrannosaurus in TLW is actually pretty up to scale, no the overblown 30 percent we see Spinosaurus getting. And like the "T.rex cannot see non-motion" myth, TLW actually recreated Tyrannosaurus' feet wrong, which is actually quite small due to it's gracile adaptations. Most dino movies get that wrong, except for WWD.

"this can be proved when kids say they like t rex because it can bite through steel or because it eats people."

Actually, biting through steel was suggest by this paleontologist who worked on T.rex bite force. Tyrannosaurus had such powerful jaws that the scientist (who was an physics engineer, so this is no idle talk) said that it would have no problem breaching the armour of a WW1 Mark 4 tank. And he said that's just conservative estimates. And if T.rex lived around this time, I'm sure he would be capable of eating humans if he wanted.

"So its fair that a not very well known dinosaur like spinosaurus gets a bit of attention."

Not really, we're simply pointing out all the fake stuff in JP3 that new Spino fans have hopped onto. If you want to like the REAL spinosaurus not as suggested in JP3, it's ok. Most Spino fans do have a problem with that, for they do not like the REAL Spinosaurus without the JP3 gimmicks (popular words). If I would remind you to open your eyes, most T.rex fans actually bash JP and TLW for their renditions of Tyrannosaurus, so your accusations are obviously false and coming from idle talk. It's best you don't talk in such a way without evidence for you will be easily refuted here and in the outside world, you'll have your butt sued off.

Have a nice day.

"Going by adaptions Allosaurus was more primitive than Ceratosaurus"

What do you mean by adaptions because I have never seen anything saying Allosaurus is more primitive. Ceratosaurus was related to primitive dinosaurs (they probably weren't primitive for the there time though) like Coelophysis and Dilophosaurus. Ceratosaurs also had 4 fingers which is a primitive feature.

It is REALLY stupid how you T Rex fans say everybody likes spinosaurus because of JP3. "Hey, I've been reading around and I've realized that DWF is all fake. It's really a cheap copy of Dino Warz, except the raptors are
supposed to kill in DWF are all Computer Generated! And in one eposide, it was nothing but a series of personal attacks on Billy
Macdraw (A really low down thing to do, causing all of us to lose respect for it). In fact, DWF was hated both all dino fans, T.rex fan or not because it was so stupid and was simply a blind and dumb copy that was fake anyway. It's really a pity it has to come back, because
nobody bothers to read it anyway. What is it? Ripoff that's what, a ripoff."

John, if nobody bothers to read DWF, then why did you know so much about it?
from JOE BOB B., age 10, Menlo Park, ?, ?; November 7, 2001

Deinonachys was a tiny bit smaller than a human, utah raptor was about 5 to 7 feet tall, deinonychus was only about 3 to very rarely 5 feet tall.

I'm like da masta, I like all dinosaurs pretty much the same. I mostly like carnivores though. My favorite none carnivore is the ceritopsians, sauropods, pachelasephalasaurs, and a lot of other groups.

I just relize I haven't voted yet,

So my vote it for Herrarasaurus
