In jurrasic park 3 the velociraptors were bigger and so was the Spinosaurus. In that movie Spinosaurus was bigger. Its not true. Spino is one foot smaller than t rex. T rex is 40 ft high and Spino is 39. I don't think thats fair.

Yeah...I read about the four raptors who died trying to take down that small, subadult Tenontosaurus. Ironically, it was from there that all the peuso-science about raptors being the deadilest dinosaurs around came up...it's good to see that more and more scientists are starting to see the obvious fact that the raptors were not as deadily or dangerous or mean as previously thought, losing four members of a pack in an attack on a small, subadult animal speaks volumes about how good the animal really was at killing, so this is my verdict...

If raptors were so strong and deadly as you say, why they lose four of them attacking a young dinosaur that was only ten feet long and not even fully grown? If they were so smart, why didn't they run away when they saw they were taking serious losses? Face, it, they were not only weak (to lose four of their own attacking a ten foot young animal that was only a third heavier then them), they were pathetic. Besides, now scientists think T.rex was every one bit as smart and more advanced than the raptors. Any dinosaur that loses four members attacking a yound animal that was a cupcake when it came to fighting is absolutely pathetic, and nothing ya, gonna say changes the facts. The raptors ARE pathetic! The Tenontosaurus they attacked wasn't even fully grown, it was only a young animal that was rather small. And I don't buy the Ankylosaurus story, if an Ankylosaurus killed one, I would believe it, but FOUR? The raptors must be real stupid, and pathetic to stick around long enough to allow an Ankylosaurus to kill FOUR, but then again, they ARE paethetic, no wonder they went extinct when they first Tyrannosaurs arrived on the scene. The Tyrannosaurs were so much more sucessful than the raptors according to scientists that they forced all the larger raptors, even Utahraptor into extinction, leaving only the puny, even more paethetic raptors left behind, who lived in constant fear of T.rex.

The facts are there, raptors are pathetic.

Tyrannosaurus Rex-Everybody seems to be trying to dethrone the king. T-Rex was the top predator of his time-( scavenger or not )-and could defeat any other land predator of any time.Of course,there were a few herbevores that could be too much,even for the king...the giant sauropods.I vote for T-Rex!!!!!

To people who say raptors are losers because they lost four of their own atacking a 1 ton herbovore. We cant tell much about the battle from just the fossils.It could have been travleing in a herd with anklyasaurs or other dinosaurs and the anklyasaurs could have killed the four raptors as they were atacking the 1 ton herbavore. And Tenontosaurus wasn't small they were 24 feet long.And 10 feet long is small for a raptor.Raptors wouldn't have been as succsesful as they were if they couldn't attack 8 metre long herbavors.So don't judge Raptors on one battle.

This new theropod had weaker jaws, and less powerful teeth than T-Rex. T-Rex' bight would have done a considerable amount of damage more than the new theropod.T-Rex was faster and more intellingent thn this new theropod, AND T-Rex was bigger. Huh??? Theropods are the smartest group of dinosaurs. And the "raptors" are theropods! And so are the Troodontids! You seem to have your groups mixed up. Dinosaur intelligence is very hard to estimate based soley on brain-to-body weight ratio, besides, according to braincase studies, Tyrannosaurus had a considerably more advanced and complex, not to mention larger brain than your "raptor", which makes sense, as the Tyrannosaurus was a newer design stemming from the same family group of as the raptors. It's entirely possible Tyrannosaurus would have been smarter than your raptor!

Scientists estimate that theropods had a life span of about 40 years. But they think that they only lived for about 20. This is because theropods were getting beat up by other dinosaurs. Every theropod skull found has had bites from other theropods, usually the same type, holes from triceritops or other ceratopsians, and much more. But troodon stayed away from dinos that could kill it. They were the smartest dinosaur.

Just because something is related to giganotosaurus doesnt mean it is as dumb. Giga is bigger than t-rex and i didnt vote for it. Car is bigger than rex and i didn't vote for it. Just because a couple of rexes were found bigger than giganotasaurus doesnt mean there way stronger. They might find a Spinosaurus bigger than those rexes. They might find a new large theropod that has long horns. Scientists estimate that less than 1% of all the dinosaurs are found. I don't think size matters much in a fight against T.Rex and Giganotosaurus. Why? Because the way T.Rex was built made the fight more akin to Mike Tyson vs. Michael Jordan. The basketball may be larger but the boxer is way stronger and meaner even though he was lighter so T.Rex will win. Giganotosaurus was built more like your basketball player, with a light skeleton, rather than T.Rex, who had a powerfully muscled, incredibly tough skeleton and body. Not to mention T.Rex could bite more than ten times harder than Giganotosaurus! Think about it, one bite to any area of Giganotosaurus will cause both a flesh wound and broken bones, minus a large amount of meat. T.Rex, being faster, can retreat back and wait for Giganotosaurus to bleed out. Giganotosaurus can't do anything about it as he can't chase T.Rex. T.Rex is the best here.

Let's consider the evidence here:

Raptors are prety pathetic, according to fossil records they lost four of their own taking down a small, one ton herbivore, and these raptors were not small like Velociraptor, they were large, 10 foot ones, and they still lost four, four of their own taking out an subadult Tendontosaurus, Tendontosaurus, unlike other dinosaurs like Triceratops or Ankylosaurus, was not designed to fight off attackers, yet a not-fully grown one managed to kill FOUR raptors before it was taken down. It dosen't take a rocket scientist to know what will happen when a pack of raptors try to take on a 6-ton T.rex, which was far, far meaner pound for pound, more dangerous and six times larger than the tiny one-tonner cupcake they lost four of their own trying to take out. I'll tell you what will happen, raptor innards and body parts will be strewn all over the place like Ground Zero in New York, except nobody will morun their passing this time as T.rex earns himself a good week's supply of food without even working up a sweat.

Small arms may not have mattered in the Late Creteceous but it did in the late jurrasic because Allosaurus attacked the large saurapods and would have had to hand on to the saurapods back. O.K, I looked up new meat eating dinosaurs, and this is what I found.
1. Paleontologists in Italy have found a new dinosaur in a quarry near Milan. It doesn't have a name, but it was an Allosaurid. It is considered the oldest Three fingered dinosaur. IT was about 25 ft. long. It lived in the late Triassic.
2.This second one was what I think you were talking about. This dinosaur was 45 ft. lond, had scizor like jaws,and was found in a group of six. This dinosaur had weaker jaws than T-Rex, was heavier, and had shorter legs and less powerful Teeth than T-Rex, even if it was larger. But Rigby's rex is 53 ft. So it might not be the biggest after all. I've spent the last 30 minutes reseaching this dinosaur.To reinforce my idea I'll give you 2 quotes from the people who discovered this new Theropod. "This dinosaur had teeth that could slice with surgical precision, but they were thinner and shorter than the bone crushing teeth of T-Rex" "Currie said that this dinosaur was slightly heavier but had shorter legs than T-Rex." So my idea is that T-Rex was faster, had more powerful jaws,and was probably more intellingent if this new theropod is anything like Giganotosaurus which the paleontologists said it was. T-Rex is the strongest predatory dinosaur. Let me give a basic run down of the Tyrant lizard king. First of all, this dinosaur had the biggest teeth of any dinosaur. The largest T-REX teeth found ecxeeded
1 foot in length. These long teeth were thick, and could crush through bones. This is very different from Allosaurus and Giganotosaurus whose teeth would crack if they hit bone. T-Rex had massive jaw power. Its jaw power was much greater than that of Spinosaurus, and it ws greater than that of Giganotosaurus and Allosaurus. All around, T-Rex had the most powerful jaws of any creature. Originally, T-Rex was thought to grow only to 40 ft., but now, after new discoveries, it is believed that T-Rex could grow to about 55 ft. Either way, it was very large. T-Rex according to many expert palontologists "is the most powerful hunter that ever lived."

My favorite dinosaur is a primitive plant eating dinosaur from Proctor Lake,Texas. It is a Hypsilophidont. This unnamed species was found accidentally to include an entire growth series. T-Rex was a Coelurosaur, a group of nimble bird-like Theropods. T-Rex was one of the largest of this group. Any way, you may think that Aloosaurus is faster. T-Rex had a large brain, with forward facing eyes. The size of its brain indicates that it had acute hearing, an excellent sense of smell, but also good eyesight. The forward facing eyes mean it had binocular vision. That means T-Rex could accurately judge distances. That's how it hunted.Of course, it also used its other senses.

U guys must be stupid and nuts to go up against the best dino, Tyrannosaurus rex, juz look at how Sue massacares your puny RAPTORS! AND THEY OUTNUMBER HER 20 TO 1!!!! AND THEY CAN'T BEAT HER! HOW USELESS ARE RAPTORS??!!!!

Sue didn't quite have the time to find out how well her human counterparts were doing, for it took all of her concentration to engage her opponents. She recoiled as an Utahraptor swiped at her with its formidable forelimbs, recovered, and charged forward, ramming the smaller dinosaur with incredible force. The Utahraptor shrieked and rolled clumsily back away from the impact. Sue brought her head up and to the right where a Deinonychus was charging her, aimed for her neck. But she couldn't quite make it in time to stop the attack and the Deinonychus leaped into the air and scored with a swift kick to her neck.

But it didn't matter; the TIPE suit's armor absorbed most of the impact and prevented the claw from slashing through. Even without the protection of the TIPE, this kick would have been unlikely to be lethal anyway. Sue opened her jaws and closed her head on him. The Deinonychus' reaction time was good but his tactics were bad. Instead of running under her and preventing Sue from biting him, he decided to run away from the Tyrannosaur, giving Sue an easy target to maneuver her head in on. The Deinonychus managed about two meters in his hasty retreat before she destroyed his spine with an explosive bite.

She had thinned the raptor numbers down by quite a bit, but the fight was still not over. The remaining raptors were now all in a full fledged assault on her, hoping they could somehow have somewhat of a chance of bringing down this armored opponent that would had been a great challenge in itself without all the armor. But these raptors were not too preoccupied with the odds, and they made it quite clear to Sue.

Sue roared as the raptors slashed, kicked, swiped and started swarming her. She caught one by the leg as it tried to leap onto her face, shook it violently and slammed it back onto the ground. The Deinonychus lay very still, its body contorted unnaturally, bleeding profusely from the severed leg. Sue was furious; these animals would be satisfied with nothing less than the annihilation of her kind, her loved ones, her son Tinker! They would give her no quarter and would have stopped at nothing to destroy her and her kind, no matter the cost and whomever they harmed. And now she would give them none. They had to be put down- they had to be destroyed before everybody could be safe.

Sue managed shake one Utahraptor off and caught it by the shoulders and neck in her jaws before it hit the ground. She bit down hard. Bright red arterial blood spurted out from the destroyed neck and severed arteries as she released the mortally wounded-animal, who shuddered and twitched violently as it bled out on the ground. She roared as she felt the rasping impacts of the raptors as they kicked and slashed uselessly at the fibrous cloned-spidersilk hardweave and composite ceramic protection of her suit. She shook hard with renewed conviction and managed to dislodge most of the raptors on her. Sue went straight for one Deinonychus who was slower in recovering from the 13-foot fall from her than the other animals and closed her jaws onto its chest. She heard the animal scream in alarm and slash at her snout franticly with its forelimbs as she hoisted it high into the air. The claws of the raptor slid uselessly off her armored snout and she hardly felt anything. The Deinonychus, sensing its helplessness, screamed even louder. Sue held the screaming Deinonychus in the air for a heartbeat longer before she ducked her head, Deinonychus and all, as fast and hard as she could, heading straight for the ground.

The thump of the Deinonychus being slammed violently into the ground was both felt and heard. Caught in between and cushioning the incredible forces and velocities between Sue's head and the ground, the Deinonychus' body gave way and crumpled. Blood sprayed into the air as its chest was opened and crushed by the impact. Sue lifted her bloodied snout from the carcass, and the dead forelimbs of the raptor slid limply off.

The extremely violent death of the Deinonychus finally proved to be the breaking point of the resolve of the raptors. Self-preservation finally overcame loyalty to the cause, the will to live finally overcame the will the fight. The ferocity of the raptors' attack slackened suddenly, and tapered off as they became reluctant to continue the engagement. Their morale had finally been broken. They looked uncertainly at each other, not knowing if they should continue the attack or retreat.

Sue was beyond caring if they wanted a fight or not, she roared, and launched into a ferocious counterattack on her opponents, biting, crushing, slamming and smashing her way into the raptors. The ferocity of the attack caught them entirely off-balance and they were finally broken as an effective fighting force. Some were frozen in shock, not knowing what to do, some decided to run, it didn't matter- Sue didn't care. The battle-raved Tyrannosaurus gave them no chance. Raptors started to die as they were mercilessly, imploded, stepped on, slammed, crushed, rammed and opened up by the Tyrannosaur. They tried to run, but few those who made it found to their surprise and way too late that in retreating they presented a clear shot to enemy snipers hidden far away. The necks and heads of the few raptors that managed to run away from Sue started to explode under the impact of sniper bullets. None of them survived.

Sue bit the last raptor on the back, a Deinonychus, as it tried to run under her head. She shook it violently, felt vertebrae crush and dislocate and flung the raptor to the side. The animal flopped head over heels limply and came to rest on its side. Sue moved over and looked at the Deinonychus.

It was still breathing shallowly, looking with glazed eyes up at her. The animal was mortally wounded; the bite had severed its spine and destroyed most of the lower body where it touched, including the kidneys and liver, which was partially destroyed. There was no way the Deinonychus was going to survive for too much longer. The jaws moved slightly and the eyes continued to look up at her. Sue didn't hesitate.

She brought her foot down on the Deinonychus' head, and crushed it.

Alpha Velociraptor: Surround her, don't let her escape!
Sue: And what are you trying to do?
Alpha Velociraptor: Swarm her! (All 38 raptors jump onto her, and start to slash!)
Sue: OW OW OW! OKAY! LET ME SHOW YOU A NEW MOVE! (Drops to the ground and starts to roll)
Raptors: AHHHHHHH! NOOOOO! (SQUISH, SQUISH, SQUISH!)
Bill: Sue's rolling has crushed eighteen raptors! That's the record for the most raptors killed in one move!
Alpha Velociraptor: Darn! We can't swarm her! Hit and run tatics!

(One raptors runs up, leaps and tries to slash Sue, but she swings her head and cuts him into two midair with her jaws. She swats another out of the air with her tail, splattering him like a fly on the wall. She makes short work of the raptor pack, stomping, biting and smashing them to pulp.)

Sue: Ahh, my personal record, 40 raptors in 3 minutes!
Dying Raptor: Deploy our.....secret....weapon......now!
Sue: What secret weapon?
3 Unidentified Raptors: Us!
Sue: What the..............
Ultraraptors: It's us, the Ultraraptor! Modified velociraptors designed to take on T.Rex!
Bill: They are 30 ft long and weigh 3 tons! Man-made species are not allowed to take part!
Ultraraptor: And you are going to stop us?
Bill: Err.......no.
Ultraraptors: We'll make short work of you!
Sue: Try me, you cheats!
Ultraraptor1: Roar! (Slams into Sue, knocking her back)
Sue: Wha- Roar! (Rams him back, stumbling him. The two go into a shoving match.)
Ultraraptor1: You.....can't win!
Sue: And....why is that?
Ultraraptor2: Because of this (Rams into Sue from the side, knocking her to the ground)
Honkie Tong: Hey! Not fair!
Bill: One on one please.
Ultraraptor: You can't make us!
Coolcat: Da Raptors are going to win!
Sue: Rooarrr! (Gets us, snaps at the Ultraraptors which move out of the way.)
Ultraraptors: Get her! (All attack at once, knocking Sue to the ground and start to slash her)
Honkie Tong: She can't beat all of them at once, they outmass her by at least 2 times!
Ultraraptor1: Like I care! (Bit by bit, they beat the resistance out of Sue until she lies motionless on the ground)
Ultraraptor1: We did it! We took down Sue!
Ultraraptor2: We'd like to thank all the raptor fans in Zoom Dinosaurs who have donated money to fund out creation, particularly Coolcat, who donated most of the money to the Ultraraptor project, thank you. Now we will finish this fight by killing Sue and becoming the king of dinosaurs.

(Sure enough, Sue is nowhere to be found)

Ultraraptor1: So what? We raptors are destined to be the rulers of the dinosaurs!
Sue: Have a drink and cool down! (Flings a lemonade stand at Ultraraptor1, it hits him, wetting him and the generator........sparks fly as the generator short circuits and electrocutes the Ultraraptor. The whole place is plunged in darkness.)
Ultraraptor1: AHHHHHHHHHH! (ZAP ZAP ZAP! His body convulses as he is shocked, finally he catches fire and falls to the ground, burning.)
Ultraraptor2: Where's she? Even a troodon can't see in this dark!

Sue: (rises her bloody snout!) ROARRR! I will get you! (Charges)
(The two dinosaurs collide snout to snout, Sue's skull, being stronger, wistands the impact, but the Utraraptor's skull crumpled like a beer can.)
Ultraraptor2: Aggghhhh! Noooo! (Spits blood and attempts to hiss with his mangled jaw.)
Sue: ROARR! (Prepares to bite.)
Ultraraptor2: Argggh! (Manages to kick Sue in the knee.)
Sue: Huh? Ahh! (Not expecting the kick, she tumbles to the ground head first, she tries to get up, but is pinned down.)

However, the Raptor team has filed a appeal to fight the Queen again, and she has taken up the challange! How will this turn out? Let's interview the Queen

Bill: Well, it looks like another victory by Sue. According to the Deathmatch rules, only one appeal can be made. It looks like the opposing force has failed in their attempt to oust Sue as the Queen. The Tyrannosaurus are going to erule for another 65 million yea- (Two gigantic packs of raptors, each 100 strong, march up)
Raptors: NOT SO FAST!
Bill: Not again? Another team?
Sue: HEY, 200 ON ME, NO FAIR!
Bill: That's right, the appeal has failed, go back to your musuems!
Raptors: We may not be the king of dinosaurs, but we are making sure Sue will not be too either! If we can't have it, nobody will!
Sue: For such smart dinos, you all sure are childish!
Raptors: We don't care, attack!
Sue: I am doomed!
Raptors: Sue-Imperator can't save you now!

ALLO, you need a reality check. I don't mean to insult you, but listen to what I have to say. The length of a dinosaurs have nothing to do with how fast it could run. T-Rex was a bird-like dino that was faster, smarter, and stronger than Allosaurus, no matter if you like it or not. If you need evidence, I'll be happy to give it to you. Oh and a 5 ton animal like allosaurus wouldn't be much of a jumper. There's no evidence WHAT SO EVER that allo jumped onto sauropods.

Allosaurus is heaps faster than t rex because t rexes arms are so small that if it was running fast and fall over then they could not break its fall and t rex is so heavy that t rex could die from the fall. But allosaurus is lighter and has longer arms than t rex .

My favorite dinosaur is velociraptor. The reson I like the velciraptor is because it was so smart and so sucesfull because of its it lives in a military based pack revolving around an alpha. By the way T-rex was not a fast runner and probably scavanged. You may argue with me but we have more proof T-rex scavanged than we do it hunted. Also spinosaur probably didn't need its saile to survive because it was a more advanced dinosaur and like the raptor and most theropods it was more bird like than reptile like. The spinosaur probably yoused its sail to direct it as it hunted for fish. And finally spinosaur, although bigger than t-rex, could never have beaten him because spinosaur was weak legged. By the way T-rex was not the biggest carnover, he was just the biggest in North America.

The world doesn't seem such a funny place at the moment, it seems rather nasty and dangerous. What we'll see here is the Spinosaurus/ Giganotosaurus fans who winds up the T.rex fans while they're taking a break until they're spittingly angry. The Spinosaurus/Giganotosaurus fans thinks they're safe until the T.rex fans cuts the break short and suddenly the Spinosaurus/Giganotosaurus fans realize their security arrangements aren't quite as tight as he thought they were. TROODON FORMOSUS. My reason is that Troodon was the smartest dinosaur around, besides being able to run at tremendous speeds. I consider them better than tyrannosaurs, spinosaurids or otherwise because brain-power or intelligence is more important than size.

T-Rex is my favorite because it's quick and agile because it's a Coelurosaur, and its the strongest predatory dinosaur. It's also the smartest large Cranivore. Personnally, I think that in a battle T-Rex would have advantages against any dino. All the other dinos are cool too.

Thank you, SPINO. Its a good thing that you liked Spinosaurus before JP3. What annoyes me is when people say Spinosaurus beat T-Rex in JP3,
which is just a movie, and they really don't know much about that dinosaur at all. But, when you say that we fight back in all the fighting, you do also. Everyone argues including Spino fans not just us. Just look and see for yourself.Actually I've liked T-Rex since I was 2 years old, and I'Ve been interested in dinos ever since then. That was wayyyyyyyyy before the first JP came out. See? I didn't mean that T-Rex really hit giganotosaurus at the speed of sound. It's just a simile. And if T-Rex hit gianotosaurus when giganotosaurus wasn't looking, giganotosaurus wouldn't be able to brace for the impact, so it would fall over.
